This simulation was to study a simple heat exchanger network for an edible oil refinery.  The aim was to increase the energy recovery within the network by pinch analysis, thereby reducing the load on the new E316-04 exchangers.  The existing, available exchangers were also to be relocated within the network for this purpose.

Guha industries successfully, analyzed the network, designed the new exchangers and validated that the results were as predicted by the simulation study.  The client has reduced his energy consumption by about 30%, and reduced investment substantially by using the older, lower capacity exchangers at other locations.
